3.2 Special observations
During the course of our experiment, we found out that the white precipitate does not always form immediately and we needed to look closely with a black background in order to see the white precipitate clearly. At first, we used milk tea for our test. We saw the white precipitate form immediately. But we soon found out that it was because of the milk reacting with the tannic acid, not the caffeine.  We also found out that certain types of tea needed some time for the content in the tea to settle after steeping. If we do not wait for the tea to settle, the content might make it harder to see the white precipitate.
